Complex Overview

Pleasure and Match lakes Pollawyn holds the Complex Match Record. Depths range from 3 feet in the margins to 8 feet on the high bank. Careful plumbing is needed as some pegs have shallow bars in them. 100lb weights are not uncommon so strong tackle must be used. No 14 & 16 elastic with 4lb to 6lb hook length.
An oval lake with two islands plenty of Carp, Tench, & Bream. The Carp approximately average 7lb in this lake but they have been caught up to 18lb. Pegs 1-15 you have more water to go at. No 14 to 18 Elastic with 4lb to 6lb hook length is a must.
Trelawney is designed for the waggler feeder & pole. Approximately 20m wide. Depths range from 3 feet to 7 feet plenty of fish in the margins in warmer weather. The Lake record is 192lb. No 10 to 12 elastic with 3lb to 4lb hook lengths, the bites are hard to hit! So if you sort it out let us know. - Good luck.
Eery Lake is stocked with mainly carp to 19lb, and bream to 4lb. The average size of the carp is 8lb. Most productive pegs are 5 to 10. Average depths are from 3 feet in the margins and from 6 to 9 feet in open water. Not a bagging water but plenty of quality fish.
Jennys is the ideal Lake to take younger anglers as you can get bites all day on the pole at 4m. Bigger fish come to the lead or feeder out towards the island. Average depths from 4 feet to 6 feet.
Python is a Snake Style Lake with a bay at one end. Average depth approximately 6 feet with 3 feet in the margin. It has a good head of small fish with tench to 5lb crucians roach and rudd. This lake fishes better first thing in the morning or last thing at night. Lighter elastics with smaller lines will give you more bites.
Oval lake with one big island in the middle. Depths range from 6 feet in the middle sloping at 45 towards either bank. The average sizes of the fish are 1lb so lighter elastic and hook lengths will help with more bites. weights in excess of 150Ib.
Canal has a massive head of (stockies) which will feed all year round. An average of 14 meters to the far bank is a unique feature to this lake. Depth range from 8ft in the middle to 1ft towards either bank.
This Lake has been designed to make fishing as fair as possible. It is 25 metres wide, 6 feet deep sloping at 45 towards either bank. This will force the angler into fishing the Pole, feeder or waggler. The average sizes of the fish are approximately 3lb, and match catches in excess of 150lb!
Specimen lakes
Nelsons Specimen Lake is approximately 1 acre either side. Both sides have approximately 50 Carp from 10lb to 24lb along with several catfish to 30lb. Best results are late evening, night and early morning. Best baits boilies and 21mm pellets. Feed lightly. Fish the margins when quiet.
Pats�s Pool is our main specimen lake with over 350 carp from 10lb to 28lb and 100 catfish from 14lb to 58lb 12oz (the Complex Record) and they take boilies so watch out! Depths average from 3 feet to 7 feet down the dead arm. There are 4 islands to fish.
